Quick Tips: How To Make Pleats Using a Fork
Nicki LaFoilleDescription
Learn this hack to make pleats using an item from your kitchen. Nicki LaFoille shows you how. Instead of pulling up a basting thread to gather the fabric, or meticulously measuring out and folding pleats, use this pleat hack to get perfectly even pleats every time.
Using a fork, Nicki demonstrates how to insert the fabric between the tines of the fork and twist. Each pleat will turn out to be the width of the fork every time. Slide the pleat up to abut with the previous pleat’s fold and keep stitching.
Quickly and easily stitch an entire row of perfectly identical pleats without the headache.
